"Maestro's Home" || Michael Jackson One-Shot

Imagine going to Maestro's home to meet him. When you do, he is intrigued as you are not scared of him. You become fast friends.

Based off my imagine I recently posted, but I changed it a bit to fit the story version lol

It's been a long time since I wrote a one-shot, so I'm sorry if it seems rushed - I didn't know how long was too long and how short was too short LOL

There also shouldn't be any identifiers such as gender or appearance - just simply you :)

You hadn’t been to your hometown in a few years - admittedly a long time. Growing up, you never had many friends and you sometimes would get picked on for things out of your control. You felt like all you could do was travel. You tried not to stay in one place for too long, as wherever you ended up never felt right. One day you arrive in a town called Normal Valley. You had just set up your apartment with the essentials  - that being a sofa, a TV, and a bed. Amongst other little knick-knacks you picked up while you had been on the go. You had made the lease only six months. You went to work downtown and suddenly, you got a feel for the people there. They seemed awfully judgemental and terribly, well, normal. As you finish up your shift at the local grocery store, an older woman could see you were new. She probed you for a moment.

“I haven’t seen your face around here before…What’s your name?” She asks.

“Oh, yeah, I’m new…for now. My name is (Y/N),” You say as kindly as you can.

“What brings you to Normal Valley?” She asks you again.

“Oh, you know. Just looking for a change of pace,” You chuckle nervously.

“A change of pace, huh? Well, it sounds like you won’t be sticking around for long,” She says, getting a bit annoyed. Before you could speak again, she continued talking.

“As long as you stay just the way you are, you’ll fit in fine here. Nobody likes a freak…Which reminds me - Don’t go up the hill at the edge of town. That’s where the biggest freak of them all lives,” She says, widening her eyes as she gossiped. 

You felt that was quite rude of her to say but you nod.

“Uh, thank you for the tip…,” You say, feigning a pleasant smile. You watch the woman walk away and speak to an older man with white hair and black glasses. He had a hearty laugh. You must have made a face because your next customer spoke up.

“That’s the mayor! Pleasant man, keeps the order around here better than anyone,” He said.

You look at your customer then look back to the mayor. He seemed like anything but pleasant to you.

That night as you lay in bed, you couldn’t stop thinking about ‘the freak’ that lived on top of the hill. You had seen the grand old mansion that rested there but you didn’t think anyone actually lived there. It looked run down and vines encased the whole thing. Someone really lived there? And ‘freak’? Why was he called that? You felt bad as you had been called many names in your time and it was always hard to hear. You sat up and sat on the edge of the mattress. You couldn’t shake the feeling - the feeling of something innately calling your name. You stood up and walked to the window, peeking out of the blinds. You hadn’t noticed that you could see the mansion from your window, but you could. And oddly enough, you could see a light on. 

“I guess someone does live there,” You say to yourself outloud. 

You grab your hoodie laying nearby and slip your shoes on. You put the hood up and zipper up the zipper. You were trying to look inconspicuous, but you potentially looked a little more like you were up to no good. But, at any rate, you grabbed your keys and left your apartment after locking it. You got in your car and drove to the base of the hill. You parked your car and looked around before you got out. It was around 10 PM and the town was dead. You took a few steps and looked around once more before you began to ascend up the hill. When you got to the top, the hill plateaued. It was foggy and honestly quite a bit spooky. The home was surrounded by a large fenced in yard. The yard had dead grass and tombstones. You couldn’t tell if they were just decoration or not. There was also a gate at the entrance. The gate said:

“SOMEPLACE ELSE”

You weren’t sure what you were going to do. Go forward or turn around and go back home? You pulled your hoodie closer to your body as a chill went up your spine. Then - the gate opened by itself. It let out a loud, rusty, squeak. You look around. There was still no one in sight. But, the decision had been made for you, clearly. The thing that was calling you seemed to be this mansion. It was like it wanted you to be there, too. You step into the gate with a shaky breath. You weren’t sure why, but your feet kept moving. Your feet took you to the front door. And that, too, opened by itself. You blink for a moment.

“I must be out of my damn mind,” You say out loud. Part of you urges you to turn back and go home. But, the other part of you is far too intrigued. You take a deep breath and inhale, close your eyes, and exhale. You then open your eyes and step inside. 

You look around. The mansion is even more grand on the inside. Marble pillars and checkered linoleum floors. Tall walls and a picturesque central staircase. You walked straight through and entered into the parlor, as that door was open too. You look around - the moonlight shone bright through the large bay windows. 

“H-Hello?” You call out. You don’t get an answer but you hear a loud bang. You don’t necessarily jump but you look quickly over to where the noise had come from. You walk over to a doorway with a black curtain in front of it. You sigh and turn back towards the windows.

“Well, I guess this was a waste of time,” You say.

But, just as you’re about to walk away, something touches your shoulder. You freeze but for a moment before you turn around and are met with a tall, lanky, cape with a skeleton face. You blink. You’re a little scared but mostly just confused. The figure stands there for a moment, almost staring at you. You clear your throat.

“So someone does live here,” You say with a chuckle.

The figure pulls the skeleton face down, revealing that it was a mask. You are met with piercing brown eyes staring you down.

“Did I scare you?” He asks.

“Eh, maybe startled me a little. But, no…I’m fine,” You say with a smile.

“I’m (Y/N). I was told not to come here by the locals. But, I had to see what was going on for myself,” You say.

“Is that so? Come to see the freakshow?” He asks a bit harshly. You shake your head.

“Quite the opposite. I came to see the poor soul that they called ‘the freak’. What should I actually call you?” You ask in a friendly manner.

He pulls the mask down further and furrows his eyebrows at you.

“Maestro. You can call me Maestro,” He says a bit shortly, but he’s intrigued by you now.

"You know, people don't just come here to say a friendly hello to me…,” He says, taking the cape off and laying it down on a chair. He circles around you. You watch him closely.

“It’s late for you townsfolk , isn’t it?” He asks, pacing the floor a bit.

“I guess it is but, erm, I’m not really part of the townsfolk. I’m new around here,” You say a bit nervously. 

Maestro stops and looks at you with a bit more of a kinder smile, but still quite mischievous.

“Oh? When did you get here?” He asks, crossing his arms.

“A few days ago. I work at the grocery store. But, I never stay in one place for long,” You say softly, a little sad at your own answer. 

Maestro tilts his head a bit.

“Why is that?” He probes your mind once more.

“Well…Truthfully I don’t really have a place to call home. No where has ever felt like home to me,” You say, crossing your arms now. 

Maestro looks at you with an even softer face now.

“You're not like the others, either, are you?" He asks, giving you a sincere look. 

You look back at him, looking him in the eye. 

“I guess you could say that,” You say with a smile.

Maestro opens his arms and looks around.

“You’re welcome to stay here for the night - should you see fit,” He says with a kinder smile.

“Just watch out for my family,” He says with a mischievous laugh. You look at him confused before you hear a growl. You look up and see a werewolf-like creature hanging on the ceiling, staring at you. You look at Maestro.

“They don’t scare me either, you know,” You say matter-of-factly.

Maestro laughs and smiles.

“I think you’ll fit in here just fine, (Y/N),” He says. 

“We can be ‘the freaks’ that bothers the normies in town,” You say with a playful smirk.

This makes Maestro laugh again and he nods.

And thus was the start of a beautiful friendship between the two of you - and the rest of Maestro’s family at Someplace Else. After your friendship became stronger, you decided to stay and live with him. Finally, able to call a place home and it feel like home. And when the mayor’s angry mob came to the doorstep in efforts to kick Maestro out of town - you joined in on his hijinks and scared the townspeople as well. You especially enjoyed scaring the older woman who you originally met at the grocery store who called Maestro a freak.

“You’re a freak, too, I knew it!” She shrieks.

“Maybe I am. But you know what? I’m with people I love and people who love me. And yeah, we might be a bunch of weirdos - Yet, we are kinder and more unified than this entire town is!” You proclaim to her, and to all.

Maestro smiles proudly at you. He was very happy to have taken you under his wing but also happy that you were strong enough to stand up for yourself and for him and his family. And with your help, you were all able to stay in town by the vote of the community, after they realized none of you were an actual threat to their town.

good god your bite post has invaded my mind and it hasn't left since i read it, it's spinning in my brain like in a microwave

all i can think about is shadow milk's little (prey) lover running away and getting somewhat far, thinking they're actually getting away with it until the bite's effects kick in and suddenly it's so hard to think and move and where were they going anyway? what if they just sat down and stared into space for a while? that would feel nice, right?

the magic oozing from the bite squeezing their brain and soul, making everything feel heavy and fuzzy until shadow milk just strolls by, clicks his tongue, teases them a little for trying to leave and goes to pick them up and bring them back

there's no kicking and screaming, they cannot muster up the mental strength to do it, just slight bitter resignation on their part as they can do nothing but accept their fate and perhaps try again at a later date but there's a little voice at the back of their head that doesn't understand why they were running away in the first place, a voice that urges them to melt into their captor's touch (totally not shadow milk's doing guys no it's all you)

mental and magical manipulation? it's more likely than you think!

bonus points if the bite mark's pain gets duller/softer when they behave for their beast

Ooooooo! I quite like this! I can definitely see smth similar happening! Personally tho, I see Shadow Milk taking a more manipulative approach to when he finds his lil runaway darling again. I wrote a lil blurb below to showcase :)

The further you got from the Spire, the more relief you felt. By the Witches… you’d done it! You were free!

You suddenly let out a choked gasp as you feel an incredibly painful tightening sensation in your chest. You fall to your knees, clutching at your heart. Your mind is empty as your body feels like it is being squeezed, your breath continuously escaping, despite your desperation to pull in air.

“Oh, goodness!” You hear his voice exclaim. “What happened to you, doll?”

What happened? What happened?! What… what did happen…? You were running… Yes, you were running from the Spire! But… why…?

Shadow Milk Cookie tuts sympathetically as he gently scoops you into his arms. “Oh, poor dear… Did you get lost? I told Candy Apple Cookie and Black Sapphire Cookie to keep an eye on you and ensure your safety!” He cradles you close to his chest as he makes his way back to the Spire. “Don’t worry, dollface~ Your darling jester, Shadow Milk Cookie, has arrived to save the day! I’ll make sure to get you back home where you belong in no time!” He finishes his declaration with a sweet kiss to your neck, where you can faintly detect a throbbing pain that seems to ease in response to his affection.

Where you belong…? Yes… Yes, right back where you belong… That’s a nice thought…

So why is your heart crying out that something is wrong…?

WEEEEEE! So yes, I can definitely see manipulation being there (it’s Shadow Milk, whaddya expect?), but I can see the magic from the bite invading the mind as it simultaneously attacks the body. You weren’t running for freedom, you just got lost while playing a game. Luckily, your sweet Beast, Shadow Milk Cookie, was able to find you in time before anything terrible could happen to you~! So stay, where it’s safe, and where you’re always within arms reach~

In addition to that, I love the idea of the pain getting duller and duller the more a Beast’s darling behaves for them! I added onto that a lil and made it so that, in addition to that, the only other way for the pain to dull is from direct affection to the bite area by the Beast. This gives further incentive to the darling to be well behaved and compliant for their Beast.

I may try to do lil snippets or one shots for each of the Beasts and their bites going into effect later on, given how much people seemed to like them, but we’ll see! I hope you enjoyed this tho! :D

your universe: i rlly liked the concept. its an easy read, characters are easy to digest, but it also had that element of push and pull in terms of their romance. it’s not really meant to be specific and super detailed (again because it’s supposed to be an easy read), so when i recall little concepts like their names (ace & aki), their contact names (fermented cum), and their setting in general was really fun for me. i’ve always liked writing uni au’s but this one hit the spot. i also remember it fondly because my readers were super into it! the interactions made writing the story so fun and it’s how i got close with 2 of my favourite readers 😋

nonsense: god this jimin was so sexy to me. the idea of 2 virgins being each others fwb ,, and then add the enemies to lovers vibe because of academic rivalry?? sounds like a lot but their dynamic jus worked. it flowed so well and even tho the story has the least interactions; i had such a good time writing it. i remember writing majority of it at the airport during my trip to toronto. it felt like i was truly writing for fun and didn’t feel much in terms of the pressure to make it as good as my last fic or to update as consistently. overall so precious to me because of the process!

lor jk’s lore is so sweet to me! like wdym you’re a ppl pleaser and the only person you want to actually please hates you 😭 the sunshine boy x grumpy girl duo is elite to me. the first draft i had of them was made soooo long ago. it was supposed to be the first fic i ever posted but it turned out to be the 3rd or smt.

c2u jk is iconic. like in terms of growth as a writer, i think this fic showcases that. from the way i write smut to the actual flow and pacing for this fic—i’ve honestly never been so proud of myself. not to mention how much this fic was supported. i was literally going thru it, thinking i was done writing fanfics cos i was a) out of ideas b) didn’t think there were anymore readers for me (silly, i know) but it was so interesting to see how suddenly all eyes were on c2u jk. i’m beyond thankful for the readers i met along the way and all the laughs. i felt like i was able to explore more in terms of my freakiness but also push my content quality. it’s also one of the very few smau i have that the texts are mainly focused between jk and oc so incorporating that comedic relief was hehe haha

aao jk i feel is like if lor and c2u jk had a baby. i impulsively wrote and posted aao jk cos i felt like i had to cleanse my mind from how nasty c2u turned me. he’s so funny and comforting, i’m so glad everyone got the boyfriend feels! i also had such a fun time writing it and was impressed with myself for keeping up with the updates and flow. it was meant to be a one shot but obviously it turned out to be even more… wouldn’t have it any other way 🌟

my other faves: please love me kth, chaebol jk (it pissed so many ppl off LOL), and bbydaddy jk… paraluman is pure trauma but has to be on this list because IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.

South Park

Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space (gremlinteeth)–(Creek-complete(137k)–this is quite literally the greatest fic in existence. ‘but South Park is cring–’ shut your mouth, get over it, and read this masterpiece. The character/relationship development, worldbuilding, symbolism, characterization?? I still get emotional listening to “Wouldn’t It Be Nice.” by The Beach Boys.... Like what?!? I cannot wait for the day that I have forgotten enough of this fic that I can reread it again properly. IDC what fandom you’re from read this fic.

Me, You, And Time(HelplessRomantic_2)--(Creek-complete(13k))--There are a lot of fics on Craig and Tweek’s development using canon moments in the show and I think this one does it best. Characterization, realism, character/relationship development, friend group dynamics. It’s just a great fic overall. Love it

Family Is What You Make Of It(Mareepysheepy)--Creek-complete(17k))--This fic is unbelievable. It’s an absolute masterpiece of a take on the Tucker family dynamic and how Tweek has fit into their lives. The unconditional love they have for each other and Tweek’s support for Craig. It’s one of my favorite Tucker family fics and the writing itself is phenomenal

Life In Color (BlameCanada)-@blame-canada-Creek-Complete(2k)--This is so artistically written and underappreciated. It’s a shorter one-shot, but their ability to take Craig’s monotonous descriptions to show how his worldview and outlook literally change with Tweek around is beautiful. Gives me that chest achy lovey feel and cannot get enough

Your Eyes, My Nose (PinkFan_Gurl)-@pinkfan-gurl-Creek-Incomplete(75k)-I admit, I was a little hesitant at first because babies, but I gave it a chance and OH my god I’m so glad. The writing style is fantastic, the characterization is phenomenal, there are unique relationship dynamics, and most importantly we get dopey Craig who is so in love with Tweek it’s embarrassing. I flip out when I see there's an update in my inbox. Not complete, but still updates 🙂

A Beautiful Sight, We’re Happy Tonight (@tlinrookie)-Creek-Complete(13k)--I am so obsessed with this fic, it's just so fucking good and one of my favs. Post-high school hook-up into insecure/awkward flirting? It’s so well done and realistic as a concept that if someone told me this actually happened to them in college I’d believe it. I love that in my fics. And once again, awkward blushy Craig <3

press pause (pink2d)--Creek-complete(13k)--Just Craig overwhelmed with his newly developing feelings through fantastic writing and emotional description. He just wants to kiss his boyfriend but can’t stop overthinking literally everything. I LOVE the author’s use of little details and actions to show love and build up on Craig’s end, gives you a chest achy emotion

Anyone Else But You(@fruitloopzed)-Creek-Complete(3k)--One of my fav meet cutes. I’m always a sucker for love at first sight, but Craig seeing a cute boy at five-years-old and his first instinct being to rizz them up with red racer? What a concept. Genius. It’s so cute and actually writes them in character for their age which is well done

Nervous young inhumans(tweakers)-Creek-Incomplete(136k)@tweakerist--Have you ever wanted Craig to be hopelessly in love, but literally everyone and their grandma knows except him? Well, I have the fic for you! lmao seriously tho Craig is an idiot. but his and Tweek’s relationship dynamic/development is so good. I will reread some interactions like ten times cause they’re so cute and funny. So if you also like dialogue/interactions sign yourself up. It’s incomplete, but author updates regularly!

More Trouble Than You’re Worth(@voidjelli)–Amanene-Complete(183k)- Have you ever wanted as many fanfic tropes as possible shoved into one beautifully written fic? Well I've got the story for you! lol I’m personally obsessed with ‘he’s so in love with her it’s pathetic’ so this fic kills me. The writing is phenomenal and the characterization/relationship buildings are amazing. I’m a sucker for good friendships and fun group dynamics which this fic is filled with AND there’s  a prequel Last Call(7k)

Undertow(Kawffee)-@kawff33-Amanene-Complete(96k)--The amount of effort and research that must have gone into this fic astounds me. Like a mystery/romance with a small-town island setting, Nene doing Orca research? I learned so much. The writing is astounding, the concept is fantastic, it was so fun to read, and I’m amazed it exists as just a fanfic tbh

To answer your question...

I don't know if I'd do an SMAU of Y/N's ig pre-trent only because I think majority of my audience care more about the "Trent characte" and his relationship with her than just her alone. I could be wrong tho- just an assumption!

I do have SMAU's for 'You're Mine' and it's sequel 'Ours' and so on out now... I guess be mildly cautious looking at any of them besides the first if you don't want spoilers! That said, IMO in those SMAU's Y/N's aesthetic and life is very clear through those.

I do also have Moodboards & Playlists connected to the series and I think some of those provide insight as well (spoiler warning again) IDK lol!

Maybe if people want it I'd do it!

I came across your MDZS fic and it’s amazing and I just wanted to say I appreciate the extreme angst because it’s so well written! (I love angst and your fic is the best I’ve seen in awhile) tho ngl at one point I was wondering if MXY would be brought back as a fierce corpse like WN. Kinda glad you didn’t go that route but also I’m crying over WWX taking care of MXY’s ribbon. Thank you for writing this!

Am I crying??? Maybe I am, but you'll never know. In all honesty, this is so so sweet, I'm so glad that you're enjoying reading it! It actually never crossed my mind to bring Mo Xuanyu as a fierce corpse, and thinking about it now I'm also glad I didn't go down that route. I think it'd kind of take away from the whole thing of another stranger dying just so he could survive - if Mo Xuanyu came back, it'd minimise the sacrifice, I think. It's like Mo Xuanyu would still get a shot at life like Wen Ning did, which means that his death was able to be rectified. It shows the cruelty of Jin Guangyao as well, because it shows that he doesn't care about anyone that doesn't help his goal? Conversely, there would be a good touch of angst if every time Wei Wuxian saw Mo Xuanyu, he was reminded that this teenager is undead because of him (bonus points if he was the one to raise Mo Xuanyu, because then there would be the internal argument of selfishness vs selflessness for bringing the boy back). However, that could definitely still be shown through the ribbon as a constant reminder? If that makes sense. Once again, thank you so so so much for sending this, I'm passing out with such joy, sobbing my eyes out fr!!! Don't mind my rambling, but I love that you cared enough to actually mention the alternative in the ask, it really got me thinking because it's such an interesting change that I can't believe I didn't think of. I love you so soso soooo much, and I'm going feral at the insinuation that you like my fanfic this much! I LOVE YOU!!!!

I only started making gifs partway through this year, so there was a big learning curve and i still think i'm pretty newbie but it has been a lot of fun and it's nice looking back on how much i think i've improved, though i have so much left to learn next year

i am going to ramble too much because this is my post, fair warning, forgive my self indulgence

april

this was the very beginning, back in the photopea days before i tried photoshop (i am still quite fond of photopea, 1. because it is free and 2, for stills i think it's just as good as photoshop, but i could never figure out how to make gifs look good with its dithering system. i have seen some remarkable gifmakers using photopea tho so that's a my limited skill problem, and i'm glad i used it to dip my toes into the process!)

i only posted 1 set for abaab this month which looks not good but is still a very fun scene, but this was not actually the first thing i made (see below).

YEONG HWA FINALLY ACHIEVING HER DREAM OF GOING ABROAD! All things considered, her career going as it should before Do Ha entered the picture is the best happiest ending for her. I guess she didn't fall in love again and died of old age, however, but. It fits.

I am just fiercely GLAD they didn't go Jun O fell for Yeong Hwa all of a sudden becauseee that wouldn't have been fair for both of them. Kudos to Do Ha tho for LOVING YEONG HWA so much his feelings for her permeated every cell of Jun O's body that the boy remembered her name !!!!

Except why is Jun O alive??? I guess it's his body's reward or something? Do Ha doing ghost magic and healing Jun O's body before he went kaput? WHERE WAS JUN O'S SOUL THIS WHOLE TIME??????????????????

Also I do not get the part about them dying together bec they were shot with arrows instead of Ri Ta killing Do Ha. Was it just Yeong Hwa's dream??? I NEED SUBS.

THEM MEETING AGAIN AHHHH. I've always thought that scenario is like. The best ending for them as a couple. Falling in love again but with a clean slate.

Hello, hello!! So, this is an ask I've been dreading for a while because, if I'm going to be completely honest with you, the answer is probably: no! I won't be continuing it. I put a lot of thought into this, and I've gone a bit back and forth as to whether or not I should restart writing it again... but in the end, I think I most likely will not be writing any more for this fic.

Long answer!

If you couldn't already tell, TADC was one of my shorter hyperfixations, and that coupled with the fact that I got a COLLOSSAL writers block right at the cusp end of my hyperfixation.... yeah, let's just say I lost motivation. I do apologize profusely to all of those who've been so excited to see this fic continued. Your support and comments genuinely warmed my heart and made me so happy, and also kinda sad because I knew there was a low chance of me ever picking it back up again! It is very disappointing since it has gotten an inordinate amount of traction on ao3 (I mean, 22 955 hits I INSANE for a small writer like me), and again, I am very sorry for this.

To be honest, I kind of expected to someday return to the fic once TADC gets a new update, maybe rekindle my interest for the fandom, but... nah, I'm not really feeling it. Even in light of the recent (fantastic!!) news of its return.

So! What's the future of this fic, you ask? Well, uhh. I'm soon going to post an update chapter onto the fic explaining the situation- and then post all of the rest of the story I had planned so far, the spoilers, the details and all the lore! I wouldn't want you guys to be left hanging, so I'll at least just answer some of your questions concerning the plot of the fic and where it was basically supposed to be heading. Take it as a farewell gift!

I've also made the decision to, in a way, "orphan" this fic and put it up for adoption! For uh... well, we'll see. I wasn't very social during my time in the fandom, so I don't have anyone in particular in mind to give this fic to. I might also just end up leaving it, let others have a go in continuing where I left off with their own unique storyline. Idk! It would be interesting tho!

In any case, I'm so so so glad that any who's read the fic enjoyed it as much as I did writing it. Thank you very much for your endless support and love for the fic, and I'll see the TADC fandom again someday! Who knows, I might end up writing another fic for it in the future...

Comic Sigyn was hurt by Loki as his abused wife then hurt again when she was brought back for that one shot where he called upon his friends to punch her into unsconsciousness (even tho she posed him no threat as she lacks magic or combat skills) and any Sigyn fan who actually cares about her as a character and not a self insert vessel would want her 9549 miles away from Loki since everytime they're near each other he finds a way to hurt her. But they don't, because they project onto her to live their fantasies of kissing Loki. They claim the writers just need to write her personality and dynamic with Loki differently, but if you have to change everything canon about a character to make it work it's because they don't actually ship canon Sigyn with Loki, they ship their self insert oc who happens to have the same name.

I recall seeing her use magic to help Loki on the few Simonson issues I have read. To be fair, Ikol is not the Loki she married. The exes all want revenge on someone who's no longer here (with the exception of a handful like Leah..). And yeah, they aren't good for each other and she's definitely a self-insert.

I have only ever read ONE good Loki/Sigyn fic that I enjoy where their relationship is the focus because Sygin actually has a personality and Loki was allowed to be awful in a way that was interesting rather than "evil incarnate". It reminded me a bit of "The Cruel Prince" by Holly Black. I am really not a fan of x Reader, x OFC, or x Sygin stories for the most part. I will warn it tends to bash Sif and the W3. So if you love those characters, I might avoid it.

They claim the writers just need to write her personality and dynamic with Loki differently, but if you have to change everything canon about a character to make it work it's because they don't actually ship canon Sigyn with Loki, they ship their self insert oc who happens to have the same name. Yeah. I have said I would only be fine with her coming back if their relationship and dynamic is retconned and rewritten entirely. I would argue that Sigyn has no personality and that's why she is the self-insert of choice...

I also don't appreciate the guilt-tripping some Marvel!Sygin stans do to try to make us care about some prop of a female character. Of course I would erase her if it benefits Loki's character and means I don't have to see her used as a prop to show how far Loki's evil goes. Loki's actually interesting and her being used as a prop didn't add anything interesting to his storyline and it was quite annoying. Of course we all have more investment in Loki as a character than Table # 5. We've already seen Loki being awful in more interesting ways. Plus, I feel he should get that specific relationship retconned/erased because comics always get retconned and the way most of the comics handled Loki annoys me ("evil from birth" narratives while everyone else is obnoxiously perfect are the bane of my existence). I am glad he's allowed to be gray rather than pure evil now and that's he's gotten some things retconned to avoid "evil from birth".

Like out of allll the fics i have saved as my comfort fic, it's honestly the most? Efficient? If that makes sense

I click my speeddial button, scroll to the end of the fic (or when sbi first meet, depends on my mood) and then BAM, instant serotonin

Often the fics i love for comfort are hurt comfort, which makes reading them when Im sad a risky move, and i end up making myself more sad than not 😭

And ofc, i have pure fluff fics too, but they never hit as hard as your writing does, i dunno

Also literally it's so quick too, i just read like 2 sentences and im like "damn okay, got my sandduo fix for the day. I am happ now"

A dusty tomb is so simple, yet so effective, and it's just honestly really cute without being super cheesy and aaaa i love it sm and tysm for writing it cause it's honestly like one of the things that helps me the most rn whenever im sad, besides yknow, healthy coping mechanisms LMAOO, dont worry i gen do those too, but sometimes u just need a quick read before bed. Okayyy, existential crisis about time aside, it's a good fic. A really good fic. Genuinely one of my fav fics ever (tho i feel like i wanna reread the clinic prequel ngl... that was my go to comfort fic before a dusty tomb came around. I havent read that one in awhile).
